Any time I see that dish, I am reminded of my late friend Ana. a Brazilian who was schooled in Paris and spoke perfect French in addition to four other languages, a dear friend, who invited us once and fixed this grandiose dish; i haven't had it since , but since I do miss her, I ought to make it in memory of her.

Now I know what to do with that chorizo I have in my frig. I love black beans. I learned to make them from my Costa Rican boyfriend's mom, back in the day. Thanks for reminding me.

It was so nice to meet you at the swap last week. And your salad was the very first thing I ate. Now I'm adding raisins every time I make quinoa.

I can't even tell you how much I love beans, especially slow cooked, double especially with pork. I don't usually make them in the summer, but now I've got a craving :)
